What we collect
Only what you give us and what the service needs to work:
- Your email address and password (the password is stored hashed by our authentication provider; we never see it)
- First name, last name, gender, date of birth, country, region, city, optional postal code
- Your bio, chosen purposes, and profile photo
- Connection requests, messages, blocks, and reports you create
- Security events such as failed sign-ins, password resets, and rate-limit hits
What other members can see
Other members only ever see your first name, your age, your city and region, your bio, your chosen purposes, and your profile photo.
What other members can never see
Your email address, your last name, your date of birth, your postal code, your exact address, any phone number, and your account settings are not readable by other members. This is enforced by database access rules, not only by the app.
Message screening
Messages may be checked automatically for common scam patterns (money, crypto, gift cards, bank details, password requests) and for shared contact details. Matching messages are flagged privately. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted: authorized administrators may access message content only when needed for safety, abuse review, legal compliance, or support.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. Your data is stored with our hosting and database provider, which processes it on our behalf to run the service. Automated emails (confirmation, password reset) are sent through our provider's email service.
Cookies and local storage
We store your sign-in session in your browser so you stay signed in. We do not run advertising trackers.
How long we keep data
Profile, connection, and message data is kept while your account exists. Limited reports, security events, billing records, and acceptance records may be retained after account deletion when necessary for safety, fraud prevention, disputes, accounting, or legal obligations.
Deleting your account
Settings → Delete my account removes your profile, photo, messages, connections, and login. This cannot be undone. Limited safety, security, billing, and acceptance records may be retained as described above. Data access, correction, or deletion requests can also be sent through Contact / Support.
Data minimization
We limit collection to information needed to provide accounts, profiles, connections, messaging, safety controls, support, and billing. Do not place phone numbers, exact addresses, workplace details, or financial information in your profile or messages.
Security incidents
If we confirm a breach affecting personal information, we will investigate, contain the incident, preserve necessary evidence, and notify affected people and authorities when required by applicable law.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and access is restricted by row-level database rules so members can only reach their own private data. We do not claim any certification or compliance standard.

Legal review pending
This policy describes how the service works today and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. Independent legal review — including any GDPR, CCPA, or local requirements — is required before broad public launch.
